I was able to complete two sections of a five part mold that I am constructing for the tall section I have termed “Section 3″ of my floor lamp.  I have attached a couple of photos that show 1) The mold after the second section was poured.  2) Removing the wooden frame which we refer to as “coddle boards” from the mold after the plaster has set, you can see the model which was made from plastic straws and oil clay.  I will pour the next section of the mold next Sunday.  (Many people asked me how do I keep the parts of the mold from “sticking” to one another, the practice is to soap each mold part down with Murphy’s Oil Soap after the plaster has set, so that when the next mold part is poured, the two plaster sections don’t fuse together.)
